ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (Oct. 17, 2022) – The Town of Oro Valley announced its second phase of the Fall 2022 Pavement Preservation schedule with fog seal treatments beginning Tuesday, October 18 and continuing into November between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic delays are possible. Fog seal is a pavement preservation technique that extends the life of the pavement by using diluted asphalt to seal narrow cracks and improve the surface appearance.
During the treatment, traffic lanes will be reduced in each direction. Traffic flaggers will be onsite to direct drivers. Speed will also be reduced. Drivers are asked to slow down, follow signs and obey traffic control. Message boards will be placed ahead of the construction zone to alert drivers. Outside of the scheduled construction hours, traffic will return to normal with all lanes open.
Following the fog seal treatment, crews will stripe the pavement on each section of road listed below. During this work, traffic lanes and speed will be reduced. Like the fog treatment, there will be signs and directions for drivers to follow.
