Oro Valley’s 2023 State of the Town Address

Oro Valley’s 22nd annual State of the Town Address, given by Mayor Joe Winfield, is now available online.

More than 700 people attended the event, hosted by the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce at El Conquistador Tucson, a Hilton Resort.

The Mayor’s address focused on three key areas:

  • Celebrating Oro Valley’s accomplishments: Mayor Winfield highlighted many recent successes, including the future plan of the new Oro Valley Marketplace, the progress of the Naranja Park Expansion Project, and the launch of OV’s Path Forward, the town’s new general plan update process.
  • Investing in Oro Valley’s future: The Mayor outlined the continued investments in infrastructure, public safety, and economic development. These investments, he said, will help to ensure that Oro Valley remains a vibrant and livable community for years to come.
  • Engaging the Oro Valley community: Mayor Winfield emphasized the importance of community engagement in the 2026 General Plan update process and other important town initiatives. He encouraged residents to get involved and share their ideas for the future of Oro Valley.

In closing his address, Mayor Winfield expressed his confidence in the future of Oro Valley. “We are a community on the move,” he said. “And together, we will continue to build a brighter future for all.”
