Oro Valley is a city located in Arizona. With a 2020 population of 48,282, it is the 24th largest city in Arizona and the 915th largest city in the United States. Oro Valley is currently growing at a rate of 1.27% annually and its population has increased by 2.57% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 47,070 in 2020. Spanning over 35 miles, Oro Valley has a population density of 1,384 people per square mile.

The average household income in Oro Valley is $107,122 with a poverty rate of 7.23%. The median rental costs in recent years comes to $1,326 per month, and the median house value is $330,400.*

As reported in Mayor Winfield’s State of the Town presentation on October 27, 2022, the final aspects of the Incentive Agreement with Leonardo Electronics to build a state-of-the-art semiconductor laser manufacturing in Oro Valley’s Innovation Park are being completed.  As reported on the Leonardo US website, Land Purchase and New Facility to Accommodate Growth of Nearly 200 Jobs.

Leonardo Electronic will join the University of Arizona Veterinary School, Roche Tissue Diagnostics, and many other business locations in Oro Valley.

Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce

To illustrate the importance of the Town of Oro Valley to business, you need not go any further than the simple fact that the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce has more than 585 members—October 2022, adding new members monthly.  The chamber is well respected within the Metroplex, led by Kristen Sharp, who replaced long-term President Dave Perry, who retired in October 2022.
