ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (September 24, 2026) – The Town of Oro Valley has received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for its Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025.
The award recognizes Oro Valley’s commitment to clear, accessible financial communication and responsible stewardship of public funds. The Town’s Popular Annual Financial Report presents key financial information in an easy-to-understand format, giving residents a clear view of Oro Valley’s financial position, operations, and use of taxpayer resources.
“We are honored to be recognized for this award from GFOA,” said David Gephart, the Town of Oro Valley’s Chief Financial Officer. “Winning the award demonstrates our commitment to transparency in helping communicate, at a high level, the overall financial performance of the Town.”
The award recognizes excellence in communicating financial information to the public. Submissions are evaluated for clarity, visual appeal, accessibility, distribution, creativity, and overall usefulness. The recognition reflects Oro Valley’s commitment to making its financial information understandable, transparent, and relevant to residents.
Oro Valley’s Finance Department prepares the report as part of the Town’s broader effort to maintain sound financial practices and keep the community informed about how it manages public resources. The Town has won this award 14 consecutive times.
