Donuts, Dogs, and Donations at Sol Dog Lodge – June 7 Event Benefits Local Pets in Need Sol Dog Lodge and Training Center is inviting the community to its next Donuts, Donations & Dogs fundraiser on Saturday, June 7, from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. at its brand-new campus located at 11862 N. Tangerine Business Loop. Guests are encouraged to bring pet food donations to benefit the Marana Food Bank. In appreciation, Al Gusto Coffee Company will be on-site offering a free cup of coffee to anyone who makes a donation. Fresh donuts will also be provided free of charge—it’s a perfect way to enjoy a tasty treat while supporting a great cause. From 7:00 to 9:00 a.m., visitors will have the opportunity to meet Sol Dog Lodge’s professional dog trainers, who will be available to answer questions and discuss training tips. “Join us for a bark-and-brew morning mingle where pets and caffeine meet,” the event invitation reads. In addition to the event, Sol Dog Lodge is launching its summer rattlesnake avoidance training sessions beginning Sunday, June 1. Taught by Animal Experts Inc., these essential safety classes run from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. and will also be held on July 6, August 3, and September 21. Cost is $125 per session, and pre-registration is required. To reserve a spot, contact Marc at 520-272-1825. Boarding demand remains strong at the new facility. “It’s incredible the support we’ve received from Gladden Farms and Dove Mountain,” said Shelley Harris of Sol Dog Lodge. “We’re fully booked through the end of May and much of June.” For more information, visit soldoglodge.com.
