What’s being proposed:
The proposals to increase revenue are in these public service areas:

  • Parks and Recreation – Potential updates to fees for classes, facility rentals and programs.
  • Stormwater Utility – Potential update to fee to maintain and improve local infrastructure.
  • General Fund Revenue – Potential of three new general taxes similar to surrounding communities; a Commercial Use Tax, a Telecommunications Tax and a Commercial Rental Lease Tax; all of which are already being levied by neighboring communities such as Marana, Tucson and Sahuarita.

The Town has published preliminary proposals on the 2025 Taxes and Fees web page so that residents can review the information ahead of the meeting.
