The Great Banjo Summit and Other Things with Strings brings together three extraordinary banjoists—each with a distinct style—for a one-of-a-kind musical celebration. What began as a casual jam among newfound friends quickly blossomed into something magical.
Rob Wright, former member of the New Christy Minstrels, leads the group with wit, vocals, and a mix of banjo, ukulele, and guitar. Joining him is internationally acclaimed seven-string guitarist and tenor banjoist Howard Alden, who also plays tenor guitar and ukulele. Rounding out the trio is the versatile Tyler Jackson, showcasing his talent on tenor banjo, tenor guitar, ukulele, and bass.
With Ray Templin on drums and Evan Dain on bass, this all-star ensemble creates The Great Banjo Summit—an unforgettable performance you won’t want to miss, right here in Tucson.
