Author and photographer James W. Cornett delves into the research behind his new book, The California Deserts: Then and Now. It features repeat photography juxtaposing dozens of historic photographs with recent color images to examine climate change’s impact on the American West’s deserts. Cornett’s book focuses on sites within national and state parks.
Cornett is a desert ecologist and the author of 44 books. He spent four years locating and reshooting the historical image sites in this publication, which includes 64 before and after photographs. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
