The Rillito River Band – Vintage Rock with Tucson Roots
Born on the banks of the Rillito River in Tucson, Arizona, The Rillito River Band is a vintage rock ‘n’ roll group made up of lifelong Tucson musicians whose sound is steeped in the musical heritage of the Old Pueblo. From Tex-Mex and mariachi to folk, country, and classic rock, their influences are as diverse as the desert landscape they call home.
Their setlist spans generations of rock history—featuring hits from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Thin Lizzy, Van Morrison, The Eagles, The Beach Boys, The Kinks, The Knack, Tommy James, and more. You’ll also hear a few heartfelt originals that capture their signature blend of energy, harmony, and soul.
Band Members:
🎸 Oscar Chavez – Lead vocals, guitar & bass. A Tex-Mex performer who once played for President George W. Bush.
🎶 Russell Long – Songwriter, harmonies, finger-style guitar & bass. A veteran of rock, folk, and bluegrass since age 14.
