Famous Sam’s

Locally owned and operated since 1963. 

The first store, known as "Sam's Tavern", opened in 1963 at Swan and 29th street intersection.  This small neighborhood bar became famous for serving overstuffed pastrami and ham sandwiches.  Sam's success and reputation grew along with a pool table, jukebox, pinball machine, and television.

In 1987, the name was changed to "Famous Sam's" to reflect its popularity.

Today, we are proud to continue being a neighborhood sports bar serving overstuffed sandwiches and cold beer, with our pastrami & cheese sandwich still our signature.
