2023 is off to a great start for the Children’s Museum of Oro Valley, with their exciting new location now open at Tohono Chul. Families in Oro Valley can look forward to fun activities and educational experiences in an environment that engages the senses and captivates the minds of children through hands-on exhibits, both indoors and outdoors.
For Oro Valley residents planning a day out, Tohono Chul has something for everyone to love. Plan your day around brunch (or lunch) and savor the locally-sourced seasonal menu selections at the Tohono Chul Garden Bistro. Spend some time observing the hummingbirds and butterflies as they flit about while you wander through the themed gardens. Check out the nature trails and try one of our scavenger hunts. For the littles, The Children’s Museum opened on January 3, and is ready for the whole family to enjoy.
The gardens at Tohono Chul are stroller-accessible, and families will enjoy exploring and learning as they make their way to the museum exhibits. Indoor exhibits and daily programming will be available Tuesday through Sunday, from 9am-1pm, and the outdoor play spaces are available from 8am-5pm daily.
Children’s Museum Oro Valley at Tohono Chul is a unique opportunity to experience two of Tucson’s iconic attractions. This new partnership encourages children to be immersed in nature and fosters an appreciation for the culture, animals and plants of the Sonoran Desert. Entry to the Children’s Museum is included in the cost of admission to Tohono Chul, active museum memberships will be honored through June, and children 5 and under are always free!
Treat your kids or grandkids to a local adventure and visit the Children’s Museum Oro Valley at Tohono Chul. It’s just another great reason we love Oro Valley!
