DESCRIPTION:Join the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance and the Town of Oro Valley as they partner to present the largest holiday community celebration of arts and culture in Southern Arizona at the Oro Valley Marketplace. \nThe Oro Valley Festival of the Arts & Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration is the essence of creative placemaking\, cultivating the arts as an essential part of Oro Valley’s identity. The two-day festival is one of Southern Arizona’s largest community arts celebrations\, with over 130 artisans\, over 30 performances by student and local musicians\, family art activities\, food trucks\, the TUBACHRISTMAS holiday play-along\, and free photos with Santa in front of the Golder Ranch Fire Truck! \nFestivities culminate in the Oro Valley holiday tree lighting at 6 PM on December 3. The festival brings the community together\, stimulates the local economy\, enhances surrounding businesses\, and provides opportunities for local artists to promote their work. DESCRIPTION:It’s the holidays\, and so many traditions are embraced at this time of year! \nCome join the Oro Valley Historical Society at the Pusch House Museum\, where we will celebrate many of the cultural holiday traditions.  There will be a mailbox where kids\, young and old\, can drop off their letters to Santa\, which will go straight to the North Pole! \nThe Museum is located at the historic Steam Pump Ranch at 10901 North Oracle Road and will be open every Saturday except December 23 from 9 a.m. to noon. Tours are self-guided\, with docents available to answer any questions\, and the tours are FREE\, with donations gladly accepted. \nShop at the Heirloom Farmers’ Market and then take a stroll through history to add to your holiday season festivities!
