DESCRIPTION:This Friday\, September 11\, marks 25 years since the attacks that changed the country. In Oro Valley\, that anniversary will be marked as it has been each year since 2024: at the Arizona Heroes Memorial\, a 2.58-acre site at the southern end of Naranja Park built specifically to hold moments like this. \nThe Memorial is hosting a 30-minute sunset remembrance beginning at 6:30 p.m. at 810 West Naranja Drive. “We gather to honor the lives lost\, the heroes who ran toward danger\, and the families forever changed\,” said Vickie Shoopman\, a director of the Memorial. “We remember their courage\, sacrifice\, and the unity that followed one of America’s darkest days.”
