SUMMARY:Saturday at the Ranch: History\, Nature\, and Giving
DESCRIPTION:This year\, we’re giving our remarkable artifacts an extended stay at the Oro Valley Historical Society’s Pusch House Museum. Take your time exploring our exhibits\, knowing they’ll be here whenever you’re ready for your next visit.  Self-guided tours are free\, and we gratefully accept donations.\n\n\nToday\, our naturalist returns to give two gentle one-hour walking tours around the Ranch.  He will share stories about the area’s geology\, geography\, people\, plants\, and wildlife.  Tours begin at the Pusch House Museum at 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. and end at the Heritage Garden\, where you will meet special guests from the Old Pueblo Archaeology Center as they demonstrate flintknapping\, share traditional crafts\, and answer questions about archaeology and Southern Arizona’s cultural heritage. Explore a replica Hohokam pit house\, discover ancient lifeways\, and experience the Sonoran Desert’s rich history.\n\nGap Ministries returns to the Ranch today with a request for kids’ and teens’ unwrapped holiday gifts: dolls\, books\, Legos\, ear pods\, craft kits\, sports balls\, games\, radio-controlled cars\, make-up kits\, mirrors\, fidget toys\, and trains.  Foster kids need holiday gifts\, too – won’t you help?
