DESCRIPTION:To fulfill its mission of hope for local homeless and other veterans in need and for the families of deployed members of the Arizona Guard and Reserve\, Chamber member the American Legion Oro Valley Post 132 is sponsoring its 14th annual charity golf tournament on Saturday\, August 26 at the SaddleBrooke Preserve Golf Course. \n“The American Legion Oro Valley Post 132 has been a steadfast ray of hope to our local\, less fortunate veterans by providing care and assistance when most needed\,” a release said. Please consider helping your local Veterans Service Organization to continue to make a material difference in the lives of local veterans and service members in need. “They are making a difference”. \nThe event is the primary fundraiser for the Post. Donations to Post 132 are tax-deductible\, and donations of any amount are gratefully accepted. All of the proceeds stay within the greater Tucson area and will be used to provide care and assistance to local homeless and other veterans in need and to the families of the deployed soldiers of the Post’s “adopted” Arizona National Guard and Reserve Units\, “our citizen soldiers.” The funding of their award-winning programs is dependent entirely on the generosity of individuals and local businesses.
