National I.T. Professionals Day

WHEREAS, it is with acknowledgment and appreciation of the technical experts; network engineers, system administrators, database administrators, business systems analysts, GIS analysts and service desk technicians who ensure our networks, applications, tools, technology, and information are kept secure; ensuring technical processes, systems, and devices operate smoothly; and

WHEREAS, the Town of Oro Valley recognizes the importance and benefits of I.T. Professionals as an integral role, enriching the lives of our community members, securing a desirable place to live, work, play, and visit; and

WHEREAS, the Town of Oro Valley supports the skilled work of I.T. Professionals to strengthen community communication and resiliency, connect people with technology and each other, and provide and promote opportunities for healthy living, equity, and sustainability; and

WHEREAS, the Town of Oro Valley has designated the third Tuesday of each September as National I.T. Professionals Day.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Joseph C. Winfield, Mayor of the Town of Oro Valley, Arizona, hereby proclaim that September 20, 2022, shall be known as:

NATIONAL I.T. PROFESSIONALS DAY
